Hanoch Teller is always the favorite in our school, and is able to speak and relate to students of all ages. His reputation, together with what he has accomplished on previous visits, always make his arrival a day of great excitement for the entire student body. Parents (most of the parents!) also insist on being invited to each of his sessions. I can therefore attest that young and old, religious and secular all love his stories, as they are fascinating and exciting, and delivered in an enchanting, mesmerizing fashion. The listener has no choice but to embody the emotion of each tale, and it is thrilling to watch the faces of the youngsters as Rabbi Teller’s drama unfolds. Another critical plus for any school environment is Hanoch Teller’s rich vocabulary and expert use of employing it. His ability to paint a vivid picture leaves an impression that can not be erased, and is cherished for years. Invariably, he elevates his audience not only to moral sensitivity, but to a better grasp of the English language. I also wish to stress how valuable his books are to educate students and their families regarding universal ethical concepts and sacred Jewish values. They are appropriate for everyone (even the non-Jews in our school)! We only wish he would come back every year; he would always be welcome. Elizabeth Lifschitz
